I’m sitting at the Reno/Tahoe airport waiting for my flight – My flight leaves in 45 minutes…AHH!! I’m sooo nervous about making my flight from LA to Tokyo but the guy at the Kiosk made me feel a little better by telling me where my Gate is in LA. He also made me feel worse by informing me that the gate changed and now I have to go outside and back through security. Oh well, I’ll be OK, right?
OOH!! Amy informed me that my ALL-TIME FAVORITE BAND Jimmy Eat World is in Tokyo right now…I wish I was seeing them!! Haha
I’ll probably have some Tokyo pictures with my next post!!! So excited!!
See you in Tokyo ^^
So, this week is flying by so fast! This is my last day in town and there’s still so much to do.
Before I leave for Tokyo I’m heading to Tahoe for my Aunt’s wedding (That I unfortunately have to miss). Last night Adam helped me pick out a really cute dress for the rehearsal dinner so today I told my sister we could go out and look for shoes. It will be some nice time to spend with her before I leave.
I also just got the web cam I’m borrowing from Adam last night. It’s a lego web cam and it’s really cute
Since I won’t have access to a phone while I’m in Tokyo I’ll be using Skype. My Skype username is becky.talbot so if you want to chat call me (And if I don’t know who you are I’ll block you).
Things I’ve done:
-mostly packed
-including some very american snacks
-found the closest american restaurant to my hotel
-downloaded skype
-bought a cute dress
Things I still have to do before I leave:
-more laundry
-pack my car for school (move in weekend is the weekend I come back)
-get LOTS of AA batteries for my camera
-briefing in columbia for foreign travel
-confirm my flights!!
I’m really nervous about flying alone, I hope I don’t get lost in an airport and miss a flight or something! There will be someone in the program on my flight though, so that’s a little more comforting.
This trip is coming up fast, hope I’m prepared!!
I am sitting in a Jury Duty waiting area thinking about how I need to prepare for Japan. It’s too late to learn the language, and forcing myself to like the food they eat over there seems a lost cause by now, I guess all there is left to do is relax and pack!
My last days in the USA will be spend with friends, family, and PBL.
